GonBops Authentic hand percussion is made by hand to be played by hand. Since 1954, Gon Bops conga drums have been cherished by the world's top players for their unmistakable sound, look and feel. The new generation of Gon Bops California Series congas are crafted from the highest grade quarter-sawn solid North American Oak staves and fitted with custom-sized Grade A cow skins. The unique hybrid crown hoop combines the look of traditional flat steel hoops with the playability of more modern contoured hoops. The result is a Cuban-style drum with classic flair and a sound that is pure Gon Bops.
