Why soundwaves?
The waved edge of the bottom hihat prevents a congestion of air between the two hihat cymbals. When stepping on the pedal, the air can escape immediately resulting in a fat cutting "chick" sound. When played with a stick, soundwaved hihats respond very directly, sounding sharp and precise.

B8 bronze has the highest content of copper which results in a more red-like finish. They are very firm and easily resist hard playing. The sound of cymbals made from B8 bronze is very bright, powerful and has a lot of attack. It easily cuts through loud volumes. The overall sound spectrum shows a dominant share of higher frequencies.

Classics cymbals are specially lathed which leads to a visually bright look and a perfectly balanced sound spectrum. The MEINL Classics series includes special effects cymbals such as bells or china splashes, which offer outstanding options and value in this price range.
