Meinl Cymbals Waved bottom increases response, crispness and volume. Strong cuttingchick and lively feel.

Why soundwaves?
The waved edge of the bottom hihat prevents a congestion of air between the two cymbals. When stepping on the pedal, the air can escape immediately resulting in a fat cutting "chick" sound. When played with a stick, soundwaved hihats respond very directly, sounding sharp and precise.

The range of MEINL Soundcaster cymbals is the result of extensive r&d efforts in finding new and exciting sounds. Cymbals made from B12 bronze alloy, which have a higher content of tin (12%), for a smooth, rich sound with great dynamics and expression. Ideal for the creative and expressive drummer.

Cymbals made from B12 bronze are the perfect bridge between the sounds of B20 and B8 bronze cymbals. B12 bronze cymbals have a warm and dark overall tone that is standard of B20 bronze, yet they also have the bright, lively, and powerful sounding characteristics that B8 bronze cymbals are famous for. The B12 bronze cymbals combine the best from both worlds.

Soundcaster cymbals are uniformly hammered which results in a controlled, even decay with a harmonic overtone spectrum. Soundcaster cymbals are very delicately lathed, which involves a thinning of the cymbal surface towards the edge. A precise stick definition and a wide range of dynamics are the result of this crucial process.
