What is special about Soundcaster Custom rides?
All Soundcaster Custom cymbals are made from a B12 bronze alloy. This means its content of tin is higher than in B8 bronze, giving them a warmer and slightly darker tone. The Soundcaster Custom ride cymbals benefit from that fact and offer excellent dynamics along with a strong stick definition. Enhanced Soundcaster Custom rides are high-polished cymbals, which produce a brilliant and bright sound.

MEINL's new Soundcaster Custom cymbals take the outstanding features of the original Soundcasters, but have a more cutting, glassy, and warm tone to them. By adding a brilliant finish to the Soundcaster B12 bronze alloy, the rich full sound that the originals are known for is now given an enhanced element of sheen and vibrant purpose.

Cymbals made from B12 bronze are the perfect bridge between the sounds of B20 and B8 bronze cymbals. B12 bronze cymbals have a warm and dark overall tone that is standard of B20 bronze, yet they also have the bright, lively, and powerful sounding characteristics that B8 bronze cymbals are famous for. The B12 bronze cymbals combine the best from both worlds.

This exceptionally big bell is forged from a sheet of bronze through a special pressing procedure. It?s made to meet all the requirements for heavy hitters, ensuring a cutting and powerful sound. All Soundcaster Custom cymbals are given a high- polished finish by a computer controlled polishing machine. They are repeatedly treated with special polishing sheets and paste. This results in a mirror like, shiny surface for a brighter, richer, and more brilliant sound, yet with a controlled amount of high frequencies.
