Percussion blocks add a new dimension to your creativity, sound and overall playing experience. They are extremely popular in Afro-Cuban, Caribbean and Latin American musical genres and are designed to easily attach to a drum set for easy accessibility when you are on the stage or in the studio. You can also use blocks as a stand-alone instrument in orchestral settings or in a marching band.

There are several different types of percussion blocks to choose from depending on the sound you want to inject into your music. Used most often for rhythmic decoration, clave blocks have a hollow sonic chamber so sound can escape and project out into the audience. Durable jam blocks are created for hard-hitters and simulate a wide range of wood block effects, only you don’t have to worry about cracking or chipping them since most of our jam block styles are virtually indestructible. If you’re more of a purist, try playing the traditional wood or wood-tone blocks. They have good volume and can be struck with your drumsticks to bring out the classic sonic attributes of natural and synthetic wood.
